Ram temple(Chaphal)

Chaphal is situsted 35 kms from Satara. It is a samll village with historic importance. Chaphal is famous for Shri Ram Temple built by Ramdas Swami on the banks of river Maand.

The Lord Rama Temple is very beautiful. The idol of Lord Ram is very special. Samarth Ramdas swami found idols of Shri Ram in the river near Angapur and he built the temple at Chaphal. The temple is built in marble and is good example of architecture. Ramdas Swami constructed 11 Maruti temples in Maharashtra, 7 of them are near Chaphal e.g. Das Maruti, Veer Maruti and Khadicha Maruti etc.

By Road :

Satara - Chaphal only 35 kms. Regular Buses from Satara to Chaphal.
Umbraj - Chaphal only 15 kms. Buses are also available from Umbraj to Chaphal. You can go by your vehicle also.
